It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

The question of whether this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was much more difficult to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings was preceded by six games in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in training, it's been a frustrating experience because it seemed I've had no rhythm completely," said Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your competitive instincts activate and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has continuously been her great strength - and an invaluable trait in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and after that the right-hander was in motion.

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at one run per ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if necessary, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup want to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they exited last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wished she had played through the pain.

But while she afterwards confessed those fitness problems have postponed plans to retire, this tournament is expected to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as leader.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
